Hey, Legislators! Are you reading the papers? Or do you think what the rest of us think about Indiana recreation/business doesn't matter? Are you a FRIENDly legislator for canned hunts? From today's Marion Chronicle Tribune:
A BOO for the Indiana House for approving legislation that allows so-called canned hunting for another seven years. The Department of Natural Resources already has banned the hunting areas, which allow so-called hunters to fire away at deer and elk inside fenced-in areas. The ban is scheduled to take effect next month. The bill now goes to the Senate, where maybe they'll be able to figure out that the DNR was right in the first place

Shooting penned or fenced in animals for "sport" is a grotesque perversion of hunting and gives a black eye to our hunting heritage.

This vile and twisted form of quickie-gratification has even evolved to depths that the scum-suckingest bottom-feeders can't
reach---the shooting of live game over the internet!! (A new form of "agribusiness in Texas!) It's not being done (to my knowledge anyhow) in Indiana but legitimizing Hoosier 'canned hunt' operations only opens the door for stealth
practices as questionable as internet hunting and letting these so-called hunting preserves that offer up hand-raised animals (or disoriented, imported exotics or retired zoo animals/exotic pets) for blood-thirsty businesmen or Ted Nugent freaks to kill for a fee at a Hoosier Bed N' Breakfast
is a VERY bad idea.

Makes a person wonder how a "few" little hunting preserve owners seem to have developed so much sway with a few slick-tongued legislators --who sanitize the language of this practice and pass the practice off as legitimate business enterprise for their colleagues. The devious leading the blind, no?
